Anti-bribery and corruption

Beyond Denizcilik A.Ş. · Effective October 2026 · Reviewed every year

We do not offer, promise, give, ask for or accept bribes, kickbacks or any other improper advantage, directly or through anyone acting for us. This applies in our dealings with public officials, port and customs authorities, terminals, suppliers and private companies alike.

What this means in practice

  • No facilitation payments, even where they are customary. Every payment to an authority is an official fee with an official receipt.
  • Gifts and hospitality are modest, occasional, never in cash and never offered while a decision is pending. Anything above a token value is approved by management and recorded.
  • Every cost in a disbursement account is supported by a voucher. We do not create, alter or inflate invoices.
  • Agents, sub-agents and suppliers who act for us must follow the same rules, and we check them before we work with them.

We comply with the Turkish Penal Code and with the anti-bribery laws that apply to our principals, including the UK Bribery Act and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. A breach leads to disciplinary action, up to dismissal or the end of the business relationship.

Anti-money laundering and KYC

Beyond Denizcilik A.Ş. · Effective October 2026 · Reviewed every year

We take reasonable steps to make sure that the money we receive and pay is legitimate, and that we know who we are working with.

  • Before a first call we identify the principal and, where relevant, the owner, operator and charterer, and keep their company records on file.
  • We accept funds only by bank transfer from the principal or a party it has named in writing. We do not accept cash, and we do not pay third parties that have nothing to do with the call.
  • We watch for unusual requests: payments split without reason, transfers from unrelated countries, pressure for secrecy. Anything suspicious is escalated to management and, where the law requires it, reported to MASAK, the Turkish Financial Crimes Investigation Board.
  • We keep records of identification, transactions and accounts for at least the period Turkish law requires.

Sanctions compliance

Beyond Denizcilik A.Ş. · Effective October 2026 · Reviewed every year

We comply with the sanctions laws of the Republic of Türkiye and with the United Nations Security Council sanctions, and we respect the sanctions programmes of the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States wherever they apply to our principals or to the transaction.

  • Before accepting a nomination we screen the vessel, its registered owner, manager and operator, and the principal against the relevant sanctions lists.
  • We do not act for sanctioned parties, and we do not take part in arrangements designed to hide the origin, destination or ownership of a vessel or cargo, including AIS manipulation and unexplained ship-to-ship transfers.
  • If a screening match or a red flag appears during a call, we stop, escalate to management and inform the principal before going further.

Code of conduct

Beyond Denizcilik A.Ş. · Effective October 2026 · Reviewed every year

We work honestly, keep our word and treat everyone we deal with fairly. Our staff are expected to:

  • Obey the law and the rules of every port and authority where we work.
  • Give principals accurate, timely information, including bad news.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest, and declare any personal or financial interest in a supplier, customer or competitor to management.
  • Keep principals' and vessels' information confidential and use it only for the call it was given for.
  • Compete fairly. We do not agree prices or share markets with competitors.
  • Treat colleagues, crews and partners with respect. We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.

Ethical principles

Beyond Denizcilik A.Ş. · Effective October 2026 · Reviewed every year

We are responsible for keeping the market fair and transparent for everyone in it. Our managers, representatives and staff carry out their work in line with professional ethics and on the basis of trust, and follow the principles below.

  1. Honesty and transparency. We are honest and transparent with the authorities, organisations and people we work with. We give complete and accurate information to officials and clients, avoid bribery, corruption and conflicts of interest, and comply fully with the Ship Agencies Regulation and all other agency law.
  2. Impartiality. We do not treat our staff, clients or the people we serve with prejudice because of their personality, background, beliefs, values or any other reason.
  3. Conflicts of interest. When our commercial interests conflict with those of a client or a principal we represent, and our honesty, transparency, impartiality or reliability could be harmed, we tell the parties as soon as possible. Where needed, we step back from the work to protect the client.
  4. Diligence. We work to understand and meet our clients' needs, deliver our services on time and in full, and take the care needed to protect their interests and give the best service. We do not accept work we cannot carry out to the legal standard.
  5. Confidentiality. We keep the personal and commercial information we learn through our work confidential, except what we must give to the Administration and other authorities, and we follow the law on personal data protection.
  6. Competition. We compete fairly and seek no unfair advantage. We treat competitors with respect, spread no damaging or misleading information about them, and do not grow our market share by unethical or unlawful means.
  7. Social responsibility. We respect our employees' rights and give them a safe and healthy place to work.
  8. Respect for the environment. We act responsibly towards the environment and society and encourage sustainable practice.
  9. Reporting breaches. We work to protect and improve the reputation of the maritime sector, and we report ethical breaches and suspicious activity.

Health, safety and environment

Beyond Denizcilik A.Ş. · Effective October 2026 · Reviewed every year

No job is so urgent that it cannot be done safely. We protect our people, the crews we serve and the environment of the ports where we work.

  • We follow Turkish occupational health and safety law (Law No. 6331), the ISPS Code and the safety rules of every terminal we visit.
  • Staff boarding vessels or working in terminals wear the required personal protective equipment, and launch boat transfers are made only in safe conditions.
  • Anyone may stop work they believe is unsafe, without fear of blame.
  • We report incidents and near misses promptly and learn from them.
  • We help vessels comply with MARPOL and local waste rules, and we choose licensed waste and service providers.

Drug and alcohol

Beyond Denizcilik A.Ş. · Effective October 2026 · Reviewed every year

Our staff do not work, drive or board a vessel under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Illegal drugs are forbidden at all times. Using, holding or selling them leads to dismissal.
  • No alcohol is drunk during working hours, on board vessels, in terminals or before driving on duty.
  • Staff taking prescribed medicine that may affect their alertness tell their manager before starting work.
  • We respect the drug and alcohol policies of the vessels and terminals we visit, including any testing they require.
